Pender & Coward Opens Suffolk Office

January 2006 - Pender & Coward, PC opened their Western Hampton Roads regional office in the historic Downtown Suffolk area on November 1, 2005.  The expansion provides clientele with the City of Suffolk and surrounding communities with the extensive legal expertise and technological resources of an experienced and prestigious law firm, while further contributing to the revitalization of the historic downtown area.  David L. Arnold and Philip J. Infantino, III will oversee the development and expansion of the Suffolk office.

Pender & Coward Welcomes New Attorneys

The Honorable J. Dale Bimson has joined the firm of Pender & Coward, of Counsel. Bimson is former City Attorney of the City of Virginia Beach, and served as Judge and Chief Judge of the Virginia Beach General District Court. He will practice in the areas of Public Administration, Municipal and Governmental Law, Land Use Planning, Mediation and Arbitration

A. Bartlett Keil formerly of The Keil Law Firm, PC has merged his practice with the Law Firm of Pender & Coward. Mr. Keil specializes in all areas of Family and Matrimonial Law, as well as complex property settlements, distributions and litigation.

David L. Arnold has joined the law firm of Pender & Coward, as counsel. He was formerly a principal in the Law Firm of Ornoff and Arnold. Mr. Arnold practices in the firm’s Business Affairs and Commercial Litigation sections.

Margulies Honored With Bar's Community Services Award

Pender & Coward partner Burke Margulies received the Virginia Beach Bar Association's Community Services Award for his work with families caring for relatives who are developmentally disabled.

Burke, who co-founded the Virginia Beach Community Trust, formed and chairs the Virginia Beach Trust for the Psychiatrically Disabled, and serves on the Community Services Board of Virginia Beach as well as the Professional Advisory boards of the United Way of Southampton Roads Foundation and the Tidewater Down Syndrome Association.
