Jr. in Raleigh, North Carolina, and then to United States District
Judge Malcolm J. Howard in Greenville, North Carolina

private practice of law in 1993 in Roanoke, Virginia, focusing on
bankruptcy and creditor's rights
- Substantial
experience representing debtors, creditors and trustees in a wide
variety of matters in bankruptcy court and on appeal
- Joined
Pender & Coward in 1997; regularly appears in federal courts
of the Eastern District of Virginia
- Has
represented local governments and private sector employers in a
number of employment discrimination cases as well as representing
creditors in matters ranging from simple consumer cases to business
matters and adversary proceedings

5th Battalion (Civil Affairs/Psychological Operations), 108th Regiment,
at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
