Firm shareholder Glen W. Thompson practices in the areas of Commercial Law, Creditor’s Rights, Commercial Collections, Construction Litigation, Creditor’s Rights in Bankruptcy, and General Civil Litigation. He manages his practice from the firm’s Virginia Beach office.

He received his Juris Doctorate with a Certificate of Specialty in Ocean and Coastal Law from the University of Oregon School of Law. He graduated with honors from the University of Rhode Island where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Natural Resource.

He is admitted to practice law before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

He is involved in numerous professional organizations, including the Virginia State Bar Construction Law and Public Contracts Section, the Virginia State Bar Litigation Section, the Commercial Law League of America, the Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association, the Virginia Beach Bar Association, the National Association of Credit Management, and the Tidewater Builders Association.

He is the author of “Credit and Collection Law, Institute of Credit Management, Credit and Collection Manager’s Manual, Bureau of Business Practice”, 1997.

He is a frequent lecturer in the areas of credit management, contract collections and mechanics’ liens.
