Jeff Talbert and Kendall Rasberry Join Pender & Coward and Expand the Firm’s Estate Planning, Trust and Estate Administration and Business Practice Groups
Virginia Beach, Va. – Pender & Coward is pleased to announce that Jeff Talbert and Kendall Rasberry have joined the firm and expanded the firm’s estate planning, trust and estate administration and business practice groups.
Jeff Talbert is a firm shareholder and focuses his practice on corporate and business law, estate planning, estate and trust administration, taxation and immigration matters. He routinely advises businesses in various matters including formation, organization, real estate, contracts, transactions, business disputes, leasing, tax, financing, negotiating, employment law and immigration. Jeff advises business clients on buying or selling assets or stock or other ownership interests. He counsels clients with planning and administering estates and trusts including drafting wills, trusts, advance medical directives and powers of attorney, advising on tax issues, implementing estate and trust plans, handling estate and trust disputes and litigation, and advising on guardianships and conservatorships.
Prior to joining Pender & Coward, Jeff practiced law for many years at another local law firm where he served as an officer, director and shareholder of the firm. He is included among the Best Lawyers in America and Coastal Virginia’s Top Lawyers. Jeff received his Juris Doctor from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, a Master of Laws in Taxation from Villanova University, and his undergraduate degree from the College of William & Mary.
Kendall Rasberry is an attorney focusing her practice on estate planning, probate, powers of attorney, estate and trust administration, business entities, and issues affecting special needs individuals. She is experienced and knowledgeable in legacy planning, inheritance of real estate, businesses, and other assets, and legal matters affecting families. Kendall is a certified Guardian ad Litem for Incapacitated Adults and has broad experience with adult guardianships and conservatorships. She speaks regularly at educational events regarding estate planning, advanced medical directives, special needs, caregiving, and aging in place.
Prior to joining Pender & Coward, Kendall practiced law at another local law firm. She is included among Coastal Virginia’s Top Lawyers. A Virginia Beach native, Kendall received her Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from James Madison University.
